岳平于2014年在沈阳化工大学获得高分子化学学士学位，2018年在安徽大学获得有机化学硕士学位。她于2022年加入中国科学院国际灵长类脑研究中心分子和细胞神经成像组，目前担任科研助理，负责制备生物响应性磁共振探针。
