Rory最初在 KCL 接受物理学本科学习。在伦敦大学学院攻读硕士学位期间，他转而学习生物系统建模，之后转到伦敦大学学院的Iannetti实验室攻读神经科学博士学位。在攻读博士学位期间，他主要研究以身体部位为中心的空间表征与行动选择之间的联系。Rory在意大利神经科学研究所继续从事该方向的研究，他在各种框架（如强化学习、主动推理）下对多个物种的神经和行为数据进行建模。目前，Rory是 ICPBR Logothetis 实验室的成员。
计算神经科学、自我中心表征、强化学习、主动推理、记忆巩固。
