The Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Neuroimaging (Principal Investigator / PI: Dr. Goran Angelovski) of the ICPBR is seeking for different levels of young and prospective scientists to perform research in the field of molecular fMRI. Dr. Angelovski studies the brain function through establishment of a novel neuroimaging technique that employs bioresponsive MRI contrast agents. To this end, the Lab uses various chemical, biochemical and biological approaches in developing methods to visualize biological processes in brain in a functional manner.
The Lab currently has several postdoctoral fellows and research assistants, and graduate students. We are looking forward to further expanding our research and the Lab; hence, we are welcoming applications of candidates with following research profiles:
1) Chemistry: preparation of MRI probes, with proficiency in organic, bioorganic, coordination or nanochemistry.
2) Neurobiology: planning and conducting molecular fMRI, with proficiency in biology, biological engineering, brain physiology, behavioral pharmacology or animal sciences.
3) Bioimaging: planning and conducting molecular fMRI, with proficiency in physics, biomedical engineering or biophysics.
The positions we offer provide excellent preconditions for further professional development and gaining experience in bioimaging techniques and state-of-art instrumental methods. The successful candidate should possess good organizational, analytical, and communication skills and should be able to work effectively and productively on interdisciplinary and innovative projects in a team-oriented environment. All positions are available according to the CAS/CEBSIT employee guidelines and are equipped with proper benefits and pleasant working environment. The Lab working language is English.
