The Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Neuroimaging (Principal Investigator / PI: Dr. Goran Angelovski) of ICPBR pioneers a novel neuroimaging technique using bioresponsive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) probes to study brain function. We integrate chemical, biochemical and biological approaches to directly visualize functional processes within the living brain. We invite researchers at all levels to join us in developing this cutting-edge molecular fMRI technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and conduct in vivo experiments to investigate brain function by means of molecular fMRI and electrophysiology.
• Acquire and analyze in vivo MRI and electrophysiological data.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of biologists, chemists, and imaging scientists.
• Disseminate research findings through high-impact publications and presentations at international conferences.
Essential Qualifications:
• A recently awarded Ph.D. (or equivalent) in neurobiology, neuroscience, biological engineering, behavioral pharmacology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in in vivo rodent models and experimental techniques.
• Specific experience with the analysis of neuroimaging data and/or electrophysiological signal processing.
• Proven track record of scientific rigor and productivity.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• High level of proficiency in English (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with stereotactic brain surgery and intracranial microinjections.
• Hands-on experience with the acquisition of in vivo imaging techniques, particularly MRI.
• Demonstrable proficiency in programming, with experience using Python or MATLAB for data analysis.
• Background in behavioral pharmacology or physiology.
We Offer:
• A full-time position according to the CEBSIT employee guidelines, including a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
• A stimulating, supportive, and well-equipped research environment at the forefront of neuroscience.
• Full administrative support for international candidates, including assistance with visa applications, relocation, and onboarding formalities.
• Excellent opportunities for professional development and career advancement in a world-class research institution.
