Mechanical Engineer Position in Fine-Machine Workshop, ICPBR
The International Center for Primate Brain Research (ICPBR) was jointly established in February 2018 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Shanghai Municipal Government. It is co-directed by Academician Nikos Logothetis and Academician Mu-ming Poo. Aligned with national strategic needs, ICPBR focuses on cutting-edge international scientific questions in primate research, striving to become a world-leading brain science research institution and a hub for international brain science talent, thereby enhancing the global impact of brain science research in China. ICPBR is now recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for its Fine Mechanical Workshop. The work location is Songjiang, Shanghai. Detailed information is as follows:
I. Objective
The scope of this position mainly involves the design and manufacture of experimental equipment required by the research groups within the institute,
II. Responsibilities
1. Communicate with the research laboratories to deeply understand their practical application scenarios and overall needs, and transfer them into product functional specifications;
2. Develop conceptual and detailed design according to functional specifications;
3. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize process and complete parts manufacturing;
4. Perform equipment assembly and debugging;
5. Handle the procurement of raw materials, standard parts, tools, and other supplies related to the project;
6. Undertake other tasks arranged by the leadership.
III. Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Manufacturing, Mechatronics, and other equivalent majors;
2. 2+ years (or 1+ years for master’s degree) working experience;
3. Good verbal and written English proficiency;
4. Solid experience of mechanical design and manufacturing process;
5. Proficient in 3D design software, such as Creo, SolidWorks, or UG etc.;
6. Strong proficiency in office software;
7. Excellent communication skills, and teamwork spirit.

一、工作范围
本岗位工作范围主要包括研究所内各研究组所需实验装置的设计与制造。
二、岗位职责
1. 负责与各研究组进行沟通，深入了解其实际应用与全面需求，并转化为产品功能规范；
2. 依照产品功能规范，负责设计方案制定及详细设计实现；
3. 与制造工程师配合，优化加工工艺，完成零件加工制造；
4. 负责完成实验装置的装配与调试；
5. 负责与项目相关的原材料、标准件、工具及其他用品的采购；
6. 完成领导安排的其他工作。
三、任职要求
1. 机械设计、机械制造、机电一体化等相关专业本科或以上学历；
2. 2年以上（或硕士1年以上）工作经验；
3. 良好的英语口语沟通能力；
4. 熟悉机械设计与工艺，有一定的产品设计经验；
5. 熟练掌握三维设计软件，Creo、Solidworks、UG等择一即可；
6. 熟练掌握Office等办公软件；
7. 善于沟通，细致认真，有高度的责任感与良好的团队合作精神。
