The International Center for Primate Brain Research (ICPBR) is co-directed by Prof. Nikos Logothetis and Prof. Muming Poo, affiliated with the Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology (CEBSIT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Shanghai. Here, the Laboratory of Neural Dynamics of Visual Perception and Cognition, led by Dr. Vishal Kapoor, is looking for a Computer Science Research Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers including installation and interfacing across experimental devices for data acquisition and storage management.
- Assist with programming and scripting (Matlab/Python/R/C/C++/openGL)) for experimental control, data acquisition, preprocessing, and statistical analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information technology, engineering or related disciplines.
- Experience in working with real time operating systems is a plus.
- Good oral and written English skills, a team spirit as well as the ability to work independently, and importantly strong motivation and enthusiasm to conduct high-level neuroscience research.
