The International Center for Primate Brain Research (ICPBR) is co-directed by Prof. Nikos Logothetis and Prof. Muming Poo, affiliated with the Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology (CEBSIT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Shanghai. Here, the Laboratory of Neural Dynamics of Visual Perception and Cognition, led by Dr. Vishal Kapoor, is looking for an Experimental Research Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in behavioral training of non-human primates, preparation of experimental setups including pre- and post-experimental animal care, building electrodes, scheduling of psychophysical experiments and data collection from human subjects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Psychology, Neuroscience, or related fields;
- Experience in animal handling, care and training is desirable;
- Good oral and written English skills, a team spirit as well as the ability to work independently.
