The Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Neuroimaging (Principal Investigator / PI: Dr. Goran Angelovski) of ICPBR pioneers a novel neuroimaging technique using bioresponsive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) probes to study brain function. We integrate chemical, biochemical and biological approaches to directly visualize functional processes within the living brain. We invite researchers at all levels to join us in developing this cutting-edge molecular fMRI technology.
Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Bioimaging Data Analyst to join our multidisciplinary team. You will play a central role in acquiring and analyzing multi-modal neuroimaging (MRI) and electrophysiological data, contributing directly to our cutting-edge research in molecular neuroimaging.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop high-level proficiency in functional neuroimaging and to gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art methodologies, providing a strong foundation for a future career in medical imaging or academic research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Acquire and process multi-modal MRI data (e.g., T1, T2, BOLD).
• Perform preprocessing and rigorous quality control of structural and functional MRI datasets.
• Analyze functional MRI and electrophysiological data using established and novel methods.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows for data collection, organization, and analysis.
• Conduct statistical analysis and create high-quality visualizations of results.
• Contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate effectively with a team of researchers from diverse scientific backgrounds.
• Fulfill other related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Essential Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, physics, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrable proficiency in programming, with significant experience using Python or MATLAB for data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with structuring, processing, and analyzing complex numerical datasets (e.g., from a previous project, thesis, or internship).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Professional proficiency in English, the working language of the Lab.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Specific experience with neuroimaging data analysis or electrophysiological signal processing.
• Familiarity with common neuroimaging software packages or electrophysiology toolboxes.
We Offer:
• A full-time position according to the CEBSIT employee guidelines, including a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
• A stimulating, supportive, and well-equipped research environment at the forefront of neuroscience.
• Excellent opportunities for professional development and mentorship to grow your skills in computational neuroscience and brain imaging.
