Laboratory of Physiology of Cognitive Processes

International Center for Primate Brain Research (ICPBR), Shanghai, China

The Laboratory of Physiology of Cognitive Processes at the International Center for Primate Brain Research (ICPBR) is actively seeking Research Assistants to contribute to the development of experiment setups and assist in experiments involving non-human primates. Led by Prof. Nikos K. Logothetis, with Dr. Yusuke Murayama, the primary focus of the lab is to understand the processes of cognitive systems of the primage brain, operating concurrently at micro-, meso-, and macroscopic levels Our approach involves utilizing multidisciplinary methods and cutting-edge technologies, such as multi-site electrophysiological recordings, electrical or optogenetic stimulation, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Position: Experimental Research Assistant

The successful candidate will assist in developing experiment setups and conducting experiments with non-human primates. A bachelor's or master's degree in biology, biomedical sciences, computer science, or related fields is required. Applicant must have programming experience. Desirable qualifications include experience in animal handling, care, and training, as well as proficiency in computer skills. Good oral and written English skills are essential for working in our international research environment. We strongly encourage candidates with a keen interest in neuroscience research and a high level of motivation, particularly those with robust backgrounds in electrophysiology, electric microstimulation, MRI, software development, to apply.
