Biography

After completing her Master's degree in Medical Science at Kochi University in Japan, Nanxi earned her Ph.D. in 2022 from the Neurophysiology Laboratory at Niigata University, Japan. During her doctoral studies, her research focused on investigating the neural mechanisms of language-like symbol comprehension in non-human primate.

Research Interests

My research interests lie in investigating whether non-human primates have the ability to combine language-like symbols to form sentence-like messages, as well as the neural mechanisms underlying this ability. I aim to explore this by using a combination of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), electrocorticography (ECoG), and single-neuron activity recording techniques.
