On March 24, 2026, we were delighted to host Prof. Steven Laureys from GIGA Consciousness, University of Liège, Belgium, Hangzhou International Brain Center and Zhejiang–Belgium Joint Laboratory for Disorders of Consciousness, Hangzhou Normal University, China. Dr. Laureys presented his work on "From neuroplasticity in coma to the interoceptive brain: The neural bases of conscious experience in human and non-human primates " in a session hosted by Dr. Henry Evrard.
A vibrant Q&A session followed, engaging both in-person and online attendees, and the scientific exchange continued during a joint lunch.
