Biography

Dr. LIU Cirong is the head of the Laboratory of Translational Brain Imaging. He acquired his B.S. degree from Yunnan University in 2009; MSc degree from Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012; and PhD degree from Queensland Brain Institute, The University of Queensland in 2016. From 2016 to 2019, he studied as Postdoctoral Fellow. Between 2019 and 2020, he worked as Research Assistant Professor in University of Pittsburgh. He joined ION in 2020 as the Principal Investigator of the Laboratory of Translational Brain Imaging. His research focuses on multi-modal brain mapping of the common marmoset to study large-scale brain network development and dynamics underlying social behavior and brain disorders.
