Biography

Yangfeng obtained his bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine at Southwest University (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Juan Liu). Then he moved to Guangxi University and pursued the master degree in veterinary pharmacology and toxicology (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Jiakang He). He received his PhD in health sciences from Ghent University (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Chris Baeken, Dr. Kathelijne Peremans, Prof. Dr. Jimmy Saunders). During his PhD, he combined neurostimulation treatment (accelerated repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS)) with multimodal brain imaging techniques (MRI/SPECT/PET) in a canine model to evaluate and treat anxiety dogs, bridging the gap between human and veterinary research. Now he joins the laboratory of dynamic embodied brain at ICPBR, focusing on the functional organization of the insular cortex.

Research Interests
