Dongyuan received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Object Vision Lab (supervisor: Dr. Le Chang) at the Center of Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. During her PhD, she investigated the neural representation of incomplete faces in the macaque face patch system using fMRI-guided intracranial electrophysiological recordings, combined with analyses such as PCA and linear decoding, which made a step forward in elucidating the mechanism of object recognition. Now, in the Dynamic Embodied Brain Laboratory, she will map interoception in the macaque insular cortex.
