Biography

Graduated from UCL with a MSci in Neuroscience and a master thesis investigating glucose-sensing neurons in the brainstem. Currently seeking to learn and improve through practice research skills ranging from analyzing fMRI data, performing brain surgeries and neuroscience experiments involving techniques like optogeneics and patch-clamping.

Research Interests

Research interest: Particularly interested in the feedback control of the insula over the autonomic system, and at the same time keen to explore the mechanisms behind the insular interpretation of the interoception which leads to subjective feelings and how interoception contributes to self-consciousness.
